North Carolina NC Forensic Document Examiner Thomas Grogan
* Call us at 704-726-1396 now or E-mail for a FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION to discuss your case!

If you are a victim of forgery or suspect the authenticity of a document, we can help.

Call us first should you need any of our services involving examination of suspected forgeries or disputed documents, even if it is to verify or get a second opinion of another examiner's conclusions. We offer a free initial consultation for a wide variety of clients; lawyers, banks, credit unions, insurance companies, hospitals, government and law enforcement agencies, and businesses, either in person or via fax and phone.

If you are law firm, we can email or fax you a fee schedule or CV of our chief examiner who personally oversees all aspects of your case. We come highly recommended by law enforcement and government agencies alike. We are even endorsed by internationally recognized NBC6's Personal Safety Expert Dan Starks (www.danstarks.com). We pride ourselves in quick and prompt attention to your case as well as comprehensive reports to assist you further in the litigation process. Even if you have an impending deadline, we can conduct an examination and provide an affidavit of our opinion in less than 48 hours!

AN IMPORTANT WORD TO PRIVATE CITIZENS: As we appreciate the passion one has to discover the results of our examination, please be aware that there is a possibility that our conclusion may not be to your personal agreement. Let us be very clear: We Are Not ‘Hired Guns’. The evidence and its forensic analysis dictate our conclusions, not the client. Payment is not contingent upon the results of the case, examination, opinion rendered, or testimony given. You are paying for our time / expertise. Our examination and analysis is conducted based on industry wide accepted methods established by SWGDOC and the opinions rendered are professional, ethical, impartial, non-biased, and based on the evidence. We are advocates for the documents, nothing more. Disagreement with our conclusions does not constitute a full refund.

Actually, in majority of cases, our experts never had to appear in front of a judge or jury saving clients hundreds (even thousands) of dollars in fees. Instead, because of our understanding of the law and the exhibits and reports we provide, the opposing attorney almost always settles out of court or drops the case all together. It's sad to say, but most attorneys have very limited experience about using a "handwriting expert" to prove an alleged forgery or help build a case for fraud. We have that experience. We know how tricky the opposition can be and can guide you to the truth about the handwriting and hopefully a victory in the courtroom.

We have examined thousands of documents and rendered expert opinions in hundreds of cases in the following locations:

  • North Carolina
  • South Carolina
  • Texas
  • Ohio
  • Florida
  • California
  • Alabama
  • Pennsylvania
  • Maryland
  • Missouri
  • Colorado
  • Wisconsin
  • New York
  • Hawaii
  • Arizona
  • Virginia
  • New Mexico
  • Louisiana
  • Washington

  • Washington DC
  • Tennessee
  • Georgia
  • Massachusetts
  • Illinois
  • Bahamas
  • Germany
  • Portugal
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • Scotland
  • Greece

Call us even if you are outside of North Carolina as we are available to travel throughout the United States and worldwide.  See our Fee Schedule for appropriate charges.

Our experts are also available to conduct informational and training seminars for your group or business in a variety of forensic handwriting issues. In fact, we are some of the few experts that actively teach proactive measures in the prevention of forgeries. Contact us for more information about how your company can sponsor a seminar for your clients, employees and/or customers.

Please feel free to contact us at 704-726-1396 after reviewing this website if you have any questions. If no expert is personally available at the lab when you call, please speak with our office assistant. Someone will always call you back within 24 hours. Opinions are rendered usually within 7-10 days after you retain our services.
