In 2007, Mr. Grogan founded Forensic Document Laboratory, Inc. and has continued to provide services to hundreds of clients ranging from private individuals and law firms to government and law enforcement agencies. His case load has included a wide range of situations including (but not limited to) authenticating a Land Deed written in Germany in the 1700s, detecting over $550,000 of forged checks from a trust fund, and the examination of a $92 million contract. In addition, Thomas Grogan teaches monthly seminars on Identity Theft and it's relation to forgeries/signatures.

Mr. Grogan works in close association with Emmy Award winning Dan Starks from WCNC-TV NBC6's "Don't Be a Victim" and "Partners Against Crime" segments and Starks Training Institute Inc.

Thomas is also an independent instructor with Forensics 101 Inc, a science education initiative that offers a wide selection of individual workshops and group programs for schools, daycares, libraries, church groups, home school groups, community youth groups, festivals, community events, and more.

Professional memberships include the North Carolina InfraGard Chapter of the FBI’s National InfraGard Organization, National Correctional Peace Officers Foundation, NRA Business Affiliation, North Carolina Sheriff’s Association and the North Carolina Association of Private Investigators.

Mr. Grogan is currently a participant with the FBI Charlotte Citizens’ Academy and a student of ECPI School of Technology where he is pursuing a degree in IT Network Security and Management. It is the plan of Forensic Document Laboratory, Inc to eventually expand our services in 2009 to include the examination and analysis of Digital Signatures (e-signatures).
